Daybreak (FRAMED acrylic painting on canvas, 38 x 38")
(Framed. 36 x 36” acrylic on canvas, framed dimensions 38 x 38 inches )
Using the same method as my ‘Twilight’ series entirely in shades of blue, I have begun a ‘Daybreak’ series in shades of plum and pink. The colors were inspired by day after day of clear pink sunrises during a very warm week here in September. Native San Franciscans know that the clearest days here in the Bay Area are in September rather than June, July or August. It’s called “Indian summer.” September sunrises on my hill in Oakland across the bay are often bright and pink and foretell a gorgeous day.
