Two Tall Pines (7.5 x 11 " original hand-printed cyanotype )
(7.5 x 11 inch Original Hand-Printed Cyanotype )
Unmatted. Unframed.
New. From February 2024. This is a hand-printed contact photograph using the antique cyanotype process and big negatives the same size as the final print.
These iconic Monterey pines can be found all up and down the coast of northern California from San Francisco to Carmel and beyond. These are the woods in the hills of Oakland, across the bay from San Francisco. At dawn the fog can be thick transforming the world into a hushed monochromatic version of itself.
All are on hand-stained pure cotton watercolor paper paper, then printed by hand outdoors using natural sunlight for exposure with giant photo negatives.
Slight variation in shade exist from print to print.
Signed on the back by the artist.
