Agapanthus Triptych (Set of 3 12 x 18 inch monotypes)
These are three unframed 12 x 18-inch unique hand-printed monotypes.
Although they look like block prints, these are cyanotypes, an antique form of photography also known as blueprints or sun prints. There was no camera nor photo negative. Every one of my botanical cyanotypes is an entirely unique monotype as the cut plants were laid in that one exact composition only once. There is no copper plate; there is no ink or printing press.
If matted and framed together on the wall and hung with gaps, they would span 4.5 feet or the with a a queen size bed.
